Outline
This project has been funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Spanish Government (project ref. DPI2006-09370).
The aim is to improve power quality monitoring methods to assist the diagnostic of disturbances gathered by power quality
monitors with emphasis in those produced by fault occurring in the distribution network.
A combination of data driven methods and models based approaches is proposed to assist fault location in Distribution Networks.
Case based reasoning (CBR) strategy is proposed to diagnose electric faults based on the association between events gathered by
power quality monitors and incidents reported in the network control center. Network models are used in the fault location step
to estimate the distance to the fault. The project has been developed in collaboration with ENDESA DISTRIBUCIÓN.
Resumen
Proyecto financiado por el Mininsterio de Educación y Ciencia del Gobierno Español (Ref. DPI2006-09370). El objetivo es mejorar
los actuales métodos de monitorización de calidad de la energía para el diagnóstico de perturbaciones registradas por equipos de
monitorización de calidad instalados en subestaciones de distribución.
Se propone la combinación de métodos de minería de datos con los modelos de la red para mejorar el diagnóstico de perturbaciones
y localización de faltas. En particular el modelo de la red se usa para la estimación del punto de falta dentro de la red de
distribución. El proyecto ha contado con el soporte y colaboración de ENDESA DISTRIBUCIÓN.
