The RIS3CAT communities are voluntary groupings of companies and agents of the Catalan research and innovation system, which promote R&D&I actions in the sectorial leaders of the RIS3CAT.

Through competitive calls, the Generalitat of Catalonia accredits them to obtain a grant from the ERDF of Catalonia 2014-2020 Operational Program that allows them to co-finance their plan of actions.

Last March, ACCIÓ resolved the call for communities RIS3CAT 2016, where the Community of Water was approved as a RIS3CAT community. This community is made up of different projects, in eXiT will participate in the project “Integral management of the quality and quantity of water in supply and distribution processes” coordinated by Eurecat.
