The aim of this project is to study the feasibility of managing the occupancy of public parking spaces using LoRa IoT technology. The interest of this case study lies in analysing the feasibility of this technology (communications infrastructure, sensors, etc.) for monitoring the occupancy time of parking spaces with the aim of streamlining their use in specific areas of the city. Through the Càtedra de Girona Smart City, the UdG has deployed a LoRa node on the Montilivi Campus to study aspects such as network coverage, the sensitivity of parking sensors and the reliability of the system.
