Description:

The goal of the DiCoMa project is to ensure effective management of large disasters and complex emergencies by providing a set of tools that aim to improve the effectiveness of decision makers in dealing with disasters by better training and in situ support in the field. This toolset will include Data Abstraction tools, Simulation and Modelling Tools and Decision Support and Training tools.

Outline

This project has been funded by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Comerce of the Spanish Government (project ref. TSI-020400-2011-55 ) within the National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation. The project has been cofunded by the European Union through ERDF funds. Resumen

Proyecto financiado por el Ministerio de Industria, Turismo y Comercio del Gobierno Español (Ref. TSI-020400-2011-55 ), dentro del Plan Nacional de Investigación Científica, Desarrollo e Innovación Tecnológica 2008-2011 y cofinanciado con fondos de la Unión Europea a través del FEDER: Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional. El objetivo principal del proyecto DiCoMa consiste en asegurar una gestión efectiva ante la situaciónes de emergencia complejas y de desastres de gran magnitud. Para ello, se desarrollarán un conjunto de herramientas cuya principal misión será la de mejorar la efectividad de las tomas de decisiones por parte de los diferentes actores involucrados, gracias a un entrenamineto previo y soporte in situ en el lugar de la catástrofe. Este conjunto de herramientas incluyen herramientas de abstracción, simulación y modelado, así como aplicaciones de entrenamiento y de soporte a la toma de decisiones.
