Outline

The Pigall project is born as a strategic alliance between the Girona City Council and the University of Girona, specifically through the Ethics Observatory on Artificial Intelligence of Catalonia (OIEAC) at the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences; and the eXiT Research Group of the Institute of Computer Science and Applications (IIiA). The project consists in developing artificial intelligence technologies and data, and indicator systems that provide reliable, up-to-date information, training technical teams, and improving social intervention planning and evidence-based decision-making. This is intended to improve the quality of care with criteria of effectiveness, efficiency, equity, and inclusion, putting life and the person at the center.

Funded by the Department of Social Rights of the Generalitat of Catalunya through Line 3 (Technological projects that contribute to the improvement and transformation of social service management models), of the Department’s grant call within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union, NextGeneration EU.
