Abstract

System for the automatic selection of print settings for industrial flexographic machines according to the characteristics of the work to be carried out. The solution to be developed in this project consists of proposing suitable settings for each work according to the characteristics identified in its manufacturing order (printing). The large number and diversity of manufacturing orders (work characteristics, types of support, material characteristics, working conditions, printer and customer preferences, etc.) make it difficult to define a single, common strategy for all customers and all their printing works. This project proposes the development of an automatic adjustment system with a lazy learning capacity based on case-based reasoning (CBR) that allows, on the one hand, the adjustment times required for each work to be reduced and, on the other, for these adjustments to be adapted to the machine operator’s strategy (learning from the corrections made by the operator).
